The school year begins at the end of August or beginning of September, depending on the calendar.
The school year ends at the end of June.
What is the student nationality mix at the school?
Because our demographics vary by division, we do not use a single, fixed statistic. However, to give you a general overview of our community:
Overall Ratio: The general mix across the school is approximately 60% Japanese and 40% international students.
A Global Student Body: Some of our students counted under the "Japanese" ratio are multicultural—such as dual-citizenship or half-Japanese students who hold a Japanese passport.
International Backgrounds: The majority of our Japanese passport-holders are returnees from overseas, transfers from other international schools, or students who have been immersed in Camelot’s English-based education from a young age.
Upper Divisions: The student body becomes increasingly international in the higher grades, as older students join us from around the world to pursue Cambridge qualifications.
This unique blend creates a rich, diverse community where students from all backgrounds learn and grow together.
Are there after-school clubs for my child?
Yes. We offer teacher-led after-school clubs for primary students, usually once a week from 15:40 to 16:30. Primary students can also participate in our daily homework club if they would like extra time to finish work at school. For secondary students, we do not run a fixed club schedule, but we may arrange activities on request.
Do you provide a school bus service?
No, we do not provide a school bus. Many families travel by train, as Kotakemukaihara Station is about a 2-minute walk from the school. Some families also come by car or use bicycles.
