[2025-2026] New School Year Application Guidelines

We are now accepting new school year applications for school year 2025-2026.

Please check the information below for further details.

Visiting Period: April 21, 2025 to April 25, 2025 [CLOSED]

For those of you who are considering to apply, please schedule a visit or contact info@camelot.tokyo.jp for more information. After the application form is submitted, it is assumed that applicants who are accepted will enroll in the school. We cannot accept visiting request after submitting the application form. Please schedule a day to visit the school before applying.

Application Period

First Round of Screening:      February 4, 2025 to February 28, 2025 [CLOSED]

Second Round of Screening:  April 25, 2025 Afternoon to April 29, 2025 [CLOSED]

Entrance Exam Period (only for those who are contacted to take the Entrance Exam)

First Round of Screening:      March 3, 2025 to March 7, 2025 [ENDED]

Second Round of Screening:  May 5, 2025 10 AM- 

(Applicants who take the exam from abroad will be contacted about exam details via email)

Results Announced (for all applicants)

First Round of Screening:      March 10, 2025

Second Round of Screening:  May 7, 2025 (by the end of the day)

Eligibility

Applicants must meet at least one of the following requirements to be eligible for application:


1. Foreign national
2. Japanese national who are returnees from an English-speaking country (within 6 months)
3. Japanese national who have studied in an English-based environment (eg. international schools)

4. All students who have a native or fluent level English ability

In the case of 2 or 3: at least one of the family members must be able to communicate in English with school teachers and staff.

IMPORTANT Before applying please note the following

1. Unless as a result of extenuating circumstances, we do not accept transfers from local Japanese schools.

2. We ask that students who plan to transfer to a local Japanese school after entering our Secondary Division do not apply for admission to our Grade 5 class.

3. All Camelot students are tested throughout their time here to keep track of their academic ability. Based on our educational guidelines and expectations the school may decide to hold back any student that does not meet expectations. As such, the progression from Primary to Lower Secondary, Lower Secondary to IGCSE, from IGCSE to A level, and then to graduation is in no way guaranteed. 

Please note that we cannot accept applications from Japanese nationals with no experience in an English learning environment or ESL (English as a Second Language) applicants that require additional English support.

1. IGCSE: English, Mathematics (Extended), Co-ordinated Sciences (Extended), Global Perspectives, Environmental Management, Business Studies. [+Non-IGCSE subjects that are offered by the school: P.E., Music, Home Economics, Art]

2. GCE AS-Level: Mathematics, Biology, Media Studies, Global Perspectives & Research, Business

3. GCE A2-Level: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology, Media Studies, Global Perspectives & Research

 Students applying for IGCSE 2nd Year (Grade 10) and AS/A level (Grade 11 & 12) must have studied in a Cambridge affiliated school. Students that are unable to take IGCSE and A level examinations may not be able to move to the next grade or graduate. Applicants applying to enroll in the AS Level class must provide one of the following: 1. official IGCSE grades, 2. predicted grades for IGCSE, or 3. report card presenting academic performance in IGCSE. Applicants applying to enroll in the A Level class must provide one of the following: 1. official AS Level grades, 2. predicted grades for AS Level, or 3. report card presenting academic performance in AS Level.
