Request for Extended Classes on Friday

Dear Primary Parents (A, B, C, & D Class),

From this Friday, November 13 until December 18 (the last day of the first semester), we would like to ask for your cooperation towards adding extra Friday classes every week and dismissing the students from school at 3:30 PM on Fridays. (Students will also be dismissed at 3:30 PM on December 18 instead of a half day.)

As announced in the yearly calendar, our Winter Performance event is planned for Thursday, December 17. This year's event will be held at the Shinjuku Bunka Center Main Hall.

☆ Details will be sent to you in a separate email. We will be using the hall on the first floor only, but it can accommodate about 1,200 people on the first floor alone, so we will be able to hold the event with enough social distance.

Up until last year, it was not possible to find time to practice with the usual schedule of classes, so as we entered November, we practiced for the Winter Performance while adjusting the progress of each class.

In order to take into account the practice for the event, we have followed a curriculum that allows for enough time each year for the first term, which is why we were able to practice in time for the event until last year.

However, since we have decided to close school on Monday and Tuesday this week, we have limited time to re-schedule usual classes for practice time. Moreover, since it is a big stage, we will need to rehearse more than ever before. In order to make time for rehearsals outside of class time, we have considered increasing the number of classes on Fridays.

If your child has a busy schedule and can't stay until this time, please do not worry as it is not a requirement. However, if your child can stay until 3:30, we would appreciate your cooperation.

On the last day of the term on December 18th, the students will also be dismissed at 3:30 PM. instead of a half day.
